How to Submit a Chop
Uploading your chops is easy! Here's how it works...
You must upload at least two images per chop and can upload as many as four. Exactly what
you upload depends on the chop itself.
If, for example, you take a photo and do a "scene change", changing only the
background and leaving everything else in-tact, you would upload two images:
the original and the chop (the version with your new background).
For example, if you take this image:
and decide to replace the asphalt ground with lush grass, you would upload two images:
your Final Chop:
and your Original Image:
You could optionally upload a third image in the example above – an image of the grass used. This
lets other people see exactly what images you used to create your final chop. For example:
your Final Chop:
your Original Image:
Supplemental Image #1:
In a case where you take an element from one photo and insert it into a second photo,
you would upload three images: your chop and your two source photos. For example:
your Final Chop:
your Original Image:
Supplemental Image #1:
Note that in the example above, the image of the car –
not the image of the dog – is
uploaded as the Original Image.
VERY IMPORTANT: The dimensions / resolution of your Final Chop and your Original Image must be exactly the same!
The chop and the image uploaded as the "original" (the car) have the same resolution.
The image of the dog is uploaded as a supplemental image.
What NOT to Submit
All chops submitted will be reviewed and approved by our moderators before
they are displayed to other users.

Do not submit anything pornographic (including nudity).

Do not submit anything offensive or otherwise objectionable.

Do not submit chops consisting solely of brightness, contrast, or color adjustments; these will
all be rejected!

Do not submit chops with alterations so minor that they are not easily detectable.

Do not chop a chop (meaning do not use an image that you know is a chop as the starting point for a new
chop).
Expert Advice

Remember that your goal as a chopper is to fool others into believing that your chop is a real
photo. While an alien or an explosion might make a cool addition to your group photo, it probably
won't score many points!
